In his last years Werner designed a series of office and house wares such as desk organisers, incense stick holders, wall cabinets, picture frames and versions of pictures of Sri Aurobindo and the Motherā¦ even Ganeshaās from his favorite gypsum.
Ā
He worked on the preparation for the production of this line of products including producing the injection moulds to actually produce them.Ā
He was looking for a suitable successor to take over this work.
This led to a number of people trying to fill his footsteps and a large number of disappointments on that road.Ā
Werner was a very demanding artist and became more and more reclusive over the years as one after the other disappointments followed.
Ā
The last project was the next generation of the iconic candlestick holder, what he called the Pooja Enlighter, based on the same principle of limited modularity allowing for unlimited creativity within these limited constrictions. A bit like living in his housing project.
Ā
We have tried to recreate the Pooja Enlighter from prototypes, designs and models.Ā
Genesis of the new generation of products
New Gen Gamma of products
Werner designed a whole range of products that share design sources and were supposedĀ
to be launched as a group of coherent items, fitting the whole design range.
We have based the exposition on the way Werner himself had displayed the line of products in his home office, complete with circular and tubular display tables in black and faux-leather.
